An electronic cigarette, also known as a vape, is a device designed to replicate the experience of tobacco smoking. It comprises an atomizer, a power source (typically a battery), and a container like a cartridge or tank that holds liquid. Instead of producing smoke, the user inhales vapor, a process commonly referred to as “vaping.” The atomizer functions as a heating element, turning the e-liquid into an aerosol of tiny droplets, vapor, and air after quick cooling.
E-cigarettes can be activated by taking a puff or pressing a button, with some models resembling traditional cigarettes. Many vapes are reusable or disposable. The vapor generated mainly contains propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin often combined with nicotine and flavoring.
