Yes! Climbing Kites is fully licensed and registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, and all of our products have been reviewed and approved by the DIA. We are also in compliance with all federal (including DEA) guidance regarding hemp-derived CBD and THC. Our THC and CBD are entirely natural within the hemp plant and are not synthetically created or obtained. It meets all state and federal laws and guidelines. In short, Climbing Kites offers entirely legal products.
For now, we are only selling Climbing Kites within the state of Iowa to retailers who are registered with the DIA to sell hemp-derived products. Very soon, we will offer Iowa-based customers the ability to purchase our products through our web store for delivery to their home via postal mail.
Hemp and marijuana are both legal names for the cannabis plant. Cannabis that contains less than 0.3% THC is called hemp, and cannabis that contains 0.3% THC or more is called marijuana. But besides that, hemp and marijuana are the same. So CK’s hemp-derived THC and CBD are exactly the same as the THC and CBD found in marijuana. So yes, it will affect you like marijuana. This isn’t a similar, but less potent, THC/CBD compound or a synthesized compound; it’s the real deal.
We have designed Climbing Kites to be a low-dose THC/CBD beverage. Most customers describe a “light buzz” or simply a happy feeling from a single can. And, of course, the more you drink, the stronger the effects. That said, like caffeine or alcohol, THC and CBD affect people differently. If you are new to THC/CBD products, we recommend starting with our 2.5mg version.
As with alcohol, you should not operate a vehicle or machinery after consuming THC/CBD products.
As noted above,THC and CBD affect everyone differently. But, in general, Climbing Kites is a relatively slow-onset beverage. The effects of CK pleasantly build slowly, and it typically takes about 20-30 minutes for the full effect to kick in. Inexperienced drinkers may wish to slowly consume the beverages and wait to feel the full effects before consuming another.
The effects usually last 1.5-2.5 hours, but can last longer depending on the individual.
Every can of Climbing Kites has the ingredients listed on it! But in general, our products contain carbonated water, citric acid, natural flavors (including terpenes!), hemp-derived CBD, and hemp-derived cannabis oil.
